Family Travels Conwy |
Conwy Conwy Castle was built in 1280 (along with its fortified walled town) to give King Edward an English toehold in Wales. Conwy offers the best medieval walls in Britian...and a great place to home-base your travels in northern Wales We planned our trip to coincide with Conwy Days -- an Annual festival that fills the town with fun events for the locals. (we were some of only a few U.S. tourists joining in) One night we caught the Annual Lantern of Light Parade...with happy children showing off their home-made lanterns . It ended with a bizarre show on town square complete with bad Vikings throwing trash...and a Monster who comes and eats the litter....Morale of the story??? We are not sure...but Please keep Wales clean |
